Preparing children for any situation

Our highly qualified instructors teach children how to spot danger, how to avoid it, and what to do if they can't.

Learn safety and survival skills, from the 'everyday', to the 'you never know', from bullying to escape and evasion to managing fear to being combat ready.

SAS Cadets

Safety and Survival Cadets.

Danger comes in many forms, from accidents, nature and people. Most dangers can be avoided, dealt with or mitigated. Children benefit enormously from our Safety and Survival training. With more than 100 topics, our weekly classes prepare children for literally anything, while having great fun in the process. If you can think of a type of danger or emergency, we teach how to deal with it effectively. Empowering children, this gives them confidence knowing they can deal with anything life throws at them.

Our Classes are Fast Paced and Exciting

Topics vary every week. Some subjects are given more attention, so are repeated more frequently, while others may take a year or two before they are covered again.

A typical class will involve one or two safety training or survival topics, a warm up, fitness drill and martial art drills. The martial art training is based on the Defendu system which has been used by special operatives for the past 80 years. It is central to our syllabus. The pacing of our classes is kept lively without feeling rushed. The children gain a sense of accomplishment while having fun.

Three times a year, the cadets will take part in a 'mission'. This could involve defusing a 'bomb', hostage rescue, or saving the world! These missions always prove very popular and add an extra layer of fun.

We also offer paintballing, climbing, abseiling, orienteering and air rifle shooting through at specialised venues. These activities are done during the school holidays, not in our regular weekly classes.

Skills from Real Operatives

Everything we teach is used by real-life Special Forces, secret agents and other special operatives. While some skills are toned down to be age appropriate, they are all authentic. Children identify with roles and characters better than just learning concepts, so we have introduced the ‘role-play’ of training to be special operatives. This leads to a rewarding experience for the cadets, knowing they have abilities and special knowledge that few others have. Activities and topics are taught in a “hands-on” and interactive way wherever possible.

In year 2, the cadets advance to Desert Phase, where the uniform changes to a logo printed sand-coloured t-shirt.

In year 3, the cadets become Advanced Operators as part of the Special Projects team. They will wear a black printed t-shirt and black combat trousers.

Our instructors are highly trained, qualified, insured and DBS checked.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch the class, and often learn and enjoy the class as much as the children!
